The Australian Institute of Education and Training provides a range of stand-alone Short Courses (Units of Competencies) training for Secondary Schools and Organisations, designed to provide learners with the additional Industry skills and knowledge.

These include;

  • HLTAID002 - Provide basic emergency life support
    This unit of competency applies to all workers who may be required to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
  • HLTAID003 - Provide first aid
    This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
  • CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
    Often referred to as Construction Induction (White Card), this unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work.
  • SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol
    This unit of competency describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol. Responsible practices must be undertaken wherever alcohol is sold or served, including where alcohol samples are served during on-site product tastings. This unit, therefore, applies to any workplace where alcohol is sold or served, including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.

The Australian Institute of Education and Training provide most Short Courses (Units of Competencies) in a single day, facilitated onsite at Secondary Schools or at AIET premises.

Upon successful completion of the above Unit of Competencies, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
