VET in Schools
How we work with Secondary Schools (Auspice Contract)
The Australian Institute of Education and Training (AIET) partners with Secondary Schools under an Auspicing Contract, to ensure their VET in Schools program meets the compliance requirement of the ASQA Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
Once a Secondary School signs a Standard VET Auspiced Agreement with AIET as the Registered Training Organisation, the school will then be approved as a third party to deliver the training and assessment on behalf of AIET.
AIET assists Secondary Schools in ensuring their Trainers and Assessors are appropriately qualified to deliver training and assessment services in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and the AQTF mandatory competency requirements. In ensuring that Trainers and Assessors comply with their Professional Developments obligations, AIET offers PD training throughout the year, in order to maintain their Vocational Currency.
AIET provides all the Learning and Assessment Resources necessary to deliver each training program. This includes;
- Learner Workbook – Learner Unit Guide and Learner Assessment Guide,
- Trainer Workbook – Trainer Unit Guide and Trainer Assessment Guide.
The enrolment process undertaken to suitably place Secondary School students into a qualification is carried out by the Secondary School on behalf of AIET. AIET does not guarantee that a student will successfully complete a training program, and does not guarantee that the successful completion of that training program will lead to an employment outcome.
